C-CAT is conducted twice a year. The test for admissions in the month of August is conducted in July, while the admission test for February session is conducted in December. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the PG Diploma Courses of C-DAC states that candidates need to possess a graduation degree in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc Engineering / AMIE / DoEACC B Level) in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical / Instrumentation.

OR

A Post graduate degree in Engineering Sciences with corresponding basic degree (For instance, MSc in Computer Science, Electronics/IT)

Admissions at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing are subjected to the following conditions: 

(a) All parts of their qualifying degree examination shall be completed by the date of joining the course.

(b) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks shall be submitted at C-DAC by the due date.  

Note: It is mandatory for candidates to comply with the eligibility criteria for admissions at CDAC. Admission of a candidate is subjected to his/her eligibility and scores in the CCAT. 


Step 1: Fill Application Form

Candidates will be asked to fill the application forms for admissions to the PG Diploma programmes offered at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. The forms are available online on the official website.

To apply for CCAT 2018, aspirants are required to login to www.cdac.in and click on "Apply Now" and fill up the form online.

After submission of the form, the online generated Hall ticket is sent to the email ID of the candidate (the email ID provided by the candidate during filling up of the form).

Step 2: Download CCAT 2018 Admit Cards

The CCAT 2018 admit cards will be made available on the official website for downloads. The candidates will need to enter their email address and the full name in order to download the admit card.

CCAT admit card is an important document having variety of information. We advise to preserve the admit cards until the admission process is successfully conducted.

Step 3: Appear for CCAT 2018 Entrance Test

CCAT is an online test. Students need to appear for CCAT 2018 as per the schedule mentioned in the important date’s section.

Aspirants are advised to reach the test centre at least an hour before commencement of the exam.

Step 4: Check CCAT 2018 Exam Result

The Institute would be declaring the results for CCAT 2018 entrance exams on their official website. The candidates shall check their CCAT 2018 results once announced, by simply submitting their application number and date of birth on the official website.

Step 5: CCAT Counselling and Seat allotment

CDAC also conduct counselling for the process of document verification and seat allotment. Allotment of seats is subjected to the candidate’s score in CCAT conducted for PG Diploma courses offered at the Institute. The final list of qualified candidates after the counselling will be published on the official website of CDAC. 


C-CAT will be conducted online across a list of test centres in the country. C-CAT centres will be allocated to candidates on a first-come- first-serve basis of application, depending on the centres’ seating capacity and availability.

The C-CAT date and city are to be selected at the time of filling the application form. Choices once made in the online application form cannot be changed unless approved in writing by C-DAC, subject to availability of seats in the requested city.
